Adler Opportunity: Summer of Science!

The Adler is celebrating its 85th Anniversary with Summer of Science! From June through August, the museum will offer six special days of hands-on, minds-on activities for the whole family. This summer, you can learn about black holes, explore a virtual model of the Universe, cook up a comet, and so much more. Join us for one or all of these science-themed days of special events and activities.

Teen Opportunity: End of School Hangout

Come celebrate the end of the school year with Adler teens! Hang out with us, meet new friends, and learn some new skills in science, engineering, and digital media. Wednesday, June 10th from 4:00-7:00pm. RSVP online by June 8th.

Adler Outreach: Planets on the Path

Planets on the Path is your guide to the Solar System—a walkable scale model located along Chicago’s lakefront. Start your adventure outside the Adler with the Sun, then visit the inner planets on Museum Campus, and finally venture north or south along the lakefront to behold the outer planets. Lace up your walking shoes, take in the sights of the city, and discover the Solar System right in your own backyard!

Space Science Event: New Horizons Approaching Pluto

Encourage your students to keep up with the progress of NASA's New Horizons mission this summer. The spacecraft will do a fly by of dwarf planet Pluto in July. Learn more about the mission and find resources for your classroom!
