Museum Exhibit Assignment

Students are using what they learned from our field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry to design a their own interactive museum exhibit on a scientific topic of their choosing.
Part 1: Assignment Planning Guide link: click here. (Should already be completed-students worked on this part in class.)
Part 2: Poster Blueprint: click here. (Students were given a large sheet of chart paper in class. Please also feel free to use a posterboard or trifold.)
Grading rubric:
1. Paragraph explanation of exhibit overview -5 points.
2. Paragraph describing your scientific expertise -5 points.
3. 3 Key Learning objectives (What would should visitors walk away from

your exhibit knowing? -15 points (5 points per main idea paragraph)
4. 3 intereactive design components/activities -15 points (5 points per main idea paragraph).
5. Interactive activity sketch with labels- 10 points.
6. Overall presentation (neatness, completeness, audience appeal)-5 points.
7. Overall creativity and innovation - 5 points.
Total points possible- 60 points.
Extra Credit:
+15 points for making a physical model of your interactive activity
+5 points for turning in your completed planning guide sheet
Total extra credit possible- 20 points.
