Thank you to all students and families who made the dance on Friday a HUGE success!! A special shout-out goes to our student event planners: Aniyah and Hanna. Thank you to our chaperones and snack providers: Ms. Hey-Lewis, Ms. Knowles, Mr. Sarudi, Ms. Woods, Ms. Diwan, Ms. Garcia, Mrs. Neely, Ms. Collins, Ms. Ralph and all parents that were working quietly behind the scenes supporting your child’s leadership.
Speaking of leadership, we are looking at ways to make indoor recess better for students. We’d like to open up options like: study hall, gym time, board games, crafts, computer time, etc. to students for days when it is too cold to go outside. This “active” time will be even more important as students begin Health Education during gym time. Please email Ms. Glassco (alsneed1@cps.edu) if you are available any day of the week to run/supervise a small recess group, 1:20-1:40.
Students and families, check out your learning progress on ThinkCerca. Students are writing argumentative essays about Learning Styles and Video Games this week.

We are already nearing the end of the 4th week of Quarter 3. Please check Parent/Student Portal to stay up to date on your grades. Don’t let progress reports surprise you (or your parents!)... turn in missing work ASAP. Thank you to students who have been proactive in taking responsibility for your work. Please do not rely on the grade “triggers”. It seems that these are not 100% reliable. Parent Portal link: https://parent.cps.k12.il.us/pc/default.aspx
