Dear Students and Families,
I hope you all had restful and enjoyable breaks. On Monday, we'll get started with some exciting new projects, learning about Weather, Atmospheric Pressure, and Climate Change in Science. In Language Arts, we'll be focusing on Current Events and how to read the news. We'll also be starting new ficiton and nonfiction book groups.
Here's a quick look at upcoming dates and events:
January 12th and 13th: Math NWEA testing
January 26th and 27th: ELA NWEA testing
January 8th and 9th: 6th grade Spelling Bee
Januray 12th: School-wide Spelling Bee
January 14th: Science Fair poster boards due
January 20th: 6th grade Science Fair
January 26th: Student organized Trayvon Martin Day of Rememberance
January 19th: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no school)
January 29th: End of Quarter 2
January 30th: School Improvement Day (no school)
